in the late 1980s we started making toys, with the goal that the plastic waste would be out by the nineties, and quality toys made from natural materials would be the thing.
In an old granary on the farm Skäve outside Järna
It was us, Joris Dekkers, Konrad Breidenstein and Anders Skånberg,
who designed and manufactured the Debresk toys over a ten-year period from 1987.
Later, others have taken over manufacturing and sales.
We continued designing toys until the mid-nineties.
The production itself was already outsourced to various craftsmen from the beginning of the nineties.
First in Poland, later in Estonia.
And from 1996, production returned to Järna. When Stiftelsen Järna skyddade verkstäder, also known as Telleby verkstäder, took over production.
The marketing and branding was handled by Auris Musikinstrument from 1996 to 2016.
From 2016, the brand was also handed over to Telleby.
